The Maragatham Sankaranarayanan Trust was formed in 1994 by the extended family members of Kallidaikurichi Dr E.S. Sankaranarayana Iyer (1881-1947) to popularise and propagate his musical compositions and enduring life philosophy.

The Trust has created endowments in the following Sabhas at Chennai (Madras) to conduct competitions based on the compositions of Dr E.S.S. : The Music Academy ,  Mylapore Fine Arts Club , Indian Fine Arts Society and Narada Gana Sabha. The teachers whose students receive the First Prize in the competitions held at the Sabhas are honoured with the BHODHAKA AWARDS every year during the Remembrance Day Concert.

The Trust is developing a digital archive of the compositions of Dr ESS in Tamil, Sanskrit, Telugu from the volumes the compositions of Dr.E.S.S. Copies of books and recordings of the Remembrance Day Concerts are distributed to the music lovers, scholars and the public. For details, kindly contact the Trust on:
